Assistant Principle, Head of Data, Teacher of French (BA Hons, Masters of Education) Main Hall - Table 35

Laura graduated from Liverpool University with a degree in English Literature. After she completed her PGCE she began her journey at Commerce Road High School as a Teacher of English 11 years ago. After 2 years she became Head of the English Department and undertook her Masters in Education. 5 years ago she took on the role of Assistant Principle and has worked hard to develop our innovative school data strategy. She is a keen sportswoman and captains our staff Netball Team.

Everything we do at South Wilford is about providing our children with an engaging and enriching curriculum that not only promotes a love of learning but prepares children for life in the 21st century and the opportunities that brings. We want our children to leave us as confident, loving and resilient individuals who not only open doors but open the heaviest doors in life with courage and integrity.

We were very proud that Ofsted graded us as outstanding in the area of personal development as this is something we feel is the very foundation of what we do at South Wilford.

Our Christian values are a golden thread throughout and our aim is for the children and adults in school to be at their best in all they do. This is so important to us that we made it our only school rule. We believe that if we are at our best more of the time, we can achieve great things and more than we ever expected.
