Laura Minney

Assistant Principle

Assistant Principle, Head of Data, Teacher of French (BA Hons, Masters of Education) Main Hall - Table 35

Laura graduated from Liverpool University with a degree in English Literature. After she completed her PGCE she began her journey at Commerce Road High School as a Teacher of English 11 years ago. After 2 years she became Head of the English Department and undertook her Masters in Education. 5 years ago she took on the role of Assistant Principle and has worked hard to develop our innovative school data strategy. She is a keen sportswoman and captains our staff Netball Team.

I am delighted to welcome you to our school. We are incredibly proud our our wonderful children, supportive parents, hard-working staff and innovative governors. 

We are a creative, vibrant school where our key values of nurturing, innovation and aspiration inform all we do. We are proud of our broad and rich curriculum which we review regularly to best meet the needs of our learners, making the most of the culture and heritage on our doorstep and seeking to reflect important global issues.

We have high expectations of our learners and our pupils take pride in their achievements.  At Amberley, staff, pupils, families and governors work together to form a strong, safe and supportive learning community. We all love our school and strive to make Amberley the very best it can be.
